- "Making Cycling in Sicily, we were detto, "è qualcosa di speciale!". E ce lo avevano detto con gli occhi che brillavano dalla felicità. E' stato questo particolare a farci decidere di contattare Ciclo Free , il principale operatore di cicloturismo in Sicilia orientale.
Abbiamo quasi tutti noleggiato le bici da corsa assemblate personalmente da Giuseppe Montalto. Due di noi hanno invece preso in affitto le sue city bike. Tutte le biciclette che abbiamo affittato erano in perfette condizioni e le abbiamo trovate molto affidabili.
Abbiamo fatto un tour guidato e abbiamo percorso in bicicletta le strade di campagna della Sicilia sud orientale. Lo spettacolo dei paesaggi (non ci aspettavamo dei territori così verdi in Sicily in summer) was really exciting. We had the pleasure of moving into beautiful parks and well kept by the public (another thing that surprised us, given the popular stereotype of the southern Italy), and we enjoyed the unique local cuisine iblea. A Ragusa, good restaurant at the Tenuta Carbonara we tasted the most classic Sicilian recipes, the cannoli, played a key really surprising for us city people. We had eaten at other times the cannoli, but this time we tasted a cannoli completely handmade, homemade, both the wafer and the filling, according to the old recipe Sicilian peasant.
